$2,000 to a qualifying Long Island woman-owned business
The Suffolk County Women's Business Enterprise Coalition is proud to offer the Linda Jasper / Sally Ann Slacke Award — named for SCWBEC's co-founders — to an eligible woman business owner whose business qualifies. The award is presented annually at SCWBEC's Holiday Breakfast event and is made possible from a portion of the funds raised through SCWBEC events and sponsorships.
Eligibility clarifications
In addition to the requirements listed on the official application, the following clarifications apply:
- Active Member of SCWBEC — defined as signing-in for at least 3 meetings or events during the last six months
- SCWBEC Board Members are not eligible while actively serving on the Board
- Members who previously applied but did not receive the award may continue to apply
About Linda Jasper & Sally Ann Slacke
In April 1990, Sally Ann Slacke and Linda Jasper founded SCWBEC to provide a central directory of women-owned businesses in Suffolk County and to bring awareness of procurement opportunities. This award carries forward their legacy of supporting and empowering Long Island women entrepreneurs.
